This is a lovely Tiffany & Co. sterling silver match safe, c. 1900. The matchsafe has a striker underneath and an elaborate monogram (looks like FCWL). It is hallmarked "Sterling 925-1000 T 16" (for then president of the company Charles L. Tiffany 1891 - 1902) on one side and "Tiffany & Co. 98 86 Makers 1657 16" on the other. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 3/8" and is in excellent condition with light surface wear consistent with use.

This is a fabulous sterling silver snuff box by Gorham, c. 1891. The box has a repousse design on the lid reading "Solace". This box is pictured on p. 130 of Crosby's "Silver Novelties". The inside of the lid bears the Gorham mark together with date mark for 1891 and "Sterling". It is also engraved inside the "Compliments of John Anderson & Co.". John Anderson & Co. were tobacco and snuff manufacturers and importers of fine "segars" on Broadway in New York and "Solace" was one of their brands. The box measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 1/2" and has good weight (89.5 grams). It is in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny indentations that you have to look for.

This is a wonderful Georgian English copper mug. It is tin lined and in excellent condition given the age with only minor signs of use. It is all hand crafted and is engraved "1 Pint" and "B19" together with "GR" (i.e. George Rex" and the city mark of 6. The cup stands 3 5/8" high and has a diameter of 4" at the rim - the handle extends 2" beyond the rim.

This is a fabulous Arts and Crafts hand hammered copper tray by Newlyn, c. 1900. The tray is square with raised rolled lip rim and measures 12.6" x 12.6". It has a decorative engraved scalloped border and central cartouche. The tray is signed "Newlyn" and overall condition is excellent with a few very minor dings. It has been polished at some point.

This is a wonderful American Art Nouveau silverplate hinged and footed box by the Derby Silver Co., c. 1890s. The box features a high relief, classic Art Nouveau design of a lady's head with long flowing hair as well as poppies and acorns. It stands 2 5/8" high and measures 7 1/4" x 4 1/2". The box is in excellent condition with no dings - there is one small area of wear to the plate on the rim of the lid (see photo).

This is a lovely antique pewter bowl. It is possibly Scandinavian and is simply marked with a crown on the rim (see photo). The bowl stands 2 1/8" high and has a diameter of 9 3/4". Overall condition is excellent with some tiny spots of pitting from age.

This is a truly fabulous Art Nouveau silver repousse card case, c. 1900. Both sides of the case have a detailed, high relief repousse design of irises. The case measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 3/8" and has a hinged flip-top lid. Overall condition is excellent - there is an old repair on the base (see photo) and some separation (two sections about 1/2" each) in the seam on the base near the repair. The case is not marked, but tests silver.

This is a wonderful English sterling silver perfume flask by Deakin & Francis. The flask is like a miniature hip flask with the same shape. It bears English hallmarks for Birmingham and sterling, but the two other marks are not legible. However, the style of the other hallmarks dates the flask between 1849 to 1867. There is also a maker's mark "D&F". The flask measures 2 5/8" x 2 1/2" and is in excellent condition. It is monogrammed on the top (see photo).

This is a lovely old sterling silver butter spreader by Towle in their Old English pattern which was introduced in 1892. The knife has the old lion in a T mark and was retailed by "Bailey Banks & Biddle". It measures 5 1/8" and is in excellent condition with no monograms.
