This is a wonderful sterling clamper bracelet by Mexican silversmith Alfredo Villasana, c. 1950s. The bracelet is in really outstanding condition with no dings, a nice tight hinge and lovely patina. It is 3 5/8" at the widest part and has an inside circumference of 6 1/2" - which of course increases as it is opened. The bracelet is fully signed "AV Taxco Hecho en Mexico", "Villasana 925 Sterling" and bears the eagle assay mark.

This is a wonderful sterling silver pendant with a carved stone face by Los Ballesteros, Mexico, that comes with a lovely hand crafted sterling chain, c. 1960. The stone appears to be citrine. The pendant has a diameter of 3" and the chain is 23" long. The necklace and pendant are in excellent condition. The pendant is bears the Los Ballesteros mark along with sterling 925, Hecho en Mexico and an eagle assay mark with "12" in the center.

This is an early Los Castillo sterling silver necklace with matching earrings with curved leaf-links highlighted by oxidization, c. 1940s. It has nice heavy and solid construction and all pieces are in excellent condition. The necklace can be worn with the leaves facing up toward the neck or down facing away from the neck. Fully signed Los Castillo Taxco in a circle, Sterling Made in Mexico in a circle, design #238. The necklace measures 15 1/2" x 5/8", with the old-style hook closure, and the earrings 7/8" x 5/8".

This is a gorgeous Mexican hinged clamper bracelet by Margot de Taxco, c. 1950s. Known as her "Cornflower" design, this bracelet features a beautifully detailed repousse and chased design with hand beading. The parure toured in the "Maestros de Plata" exhibit and is featured in the companion book, "William Spratling And The Mexican Silver Renaissance", by Penny Morrill, pg. 91. The bracelet is in excellent condition with no damage and a nice tight hinge. It measures 2 1/4" wide at the front, 1" at the hinged back and has an inside circumference of 6 1/2". Weight is 3.5 oz. It is fully signed Margot de Taxco, Sterling Made in Mexico, eagle mark with 16 and design #5316. See my other items for the matching earrings.

This is a fabulous Mexican 940 silver pin (higher grade than sterling) by Valentin Vidaurreta, c. 1950. Valentin was the primary designer for Hector Aguilar and the Taller Borda and is considered one of the best Taxco designers of the period. The pin is hand crafted, and measures 3 1/2" X 2". It has 19 cascabeles hanging from five stems tied with a bow. It is in outstanding condition with no missing bells and is fully signed "940 Valentin Taxco Mexico" together with an eagle mark with "9" in the center.
