| This is a wonderful French 800 silver Art Nouveau chatelaine pencil by Charles Murat, c. 1895. It is in really excellent condition and is fully functioning. The pencil has a classic Art Nouveau repousse foliate design with berries and measures 2 5/8" (including the jumpring) long when closed and 4 5/8" when extended. The jumpring bears the maker's mark for Charles Murat in a lozenge and the French boar's head for 800 silver. The top is also marked "CM" (see photo). | |||||||
