| This is a fabulous 14k gold, Bohemian garnet and pearl bracelet, c. 1900. The bracelet is set with a very large cabochon pyrope garnet (3/4" x 1/2") which is surrounded by 22 small pearls. Either side and running half-way around the band are more pyrope garnets. The bracelet is hinged and has a nice secure clasp and safety catch. This bracelet is a marriage - the hinged back was added at a later date, (perhaps the other half of the bracelet was damaged). The marriage has age (it is not recent) and was extremely well done. The back of the bracelet is engraved "10.8.27 In Memory SDK 6.21.92". The bracelet has good weight (30.6g) and is 7/8" at the widest point. It has an inside circumference of 6" so is for a small wrist. It is not marked, but all parts test solid 14k gold. | ||||||||
