| This is a lovely antique oyster plate with five wells. The plate has a white ground and wells in lovely shades of yellow - from lemon to gold. It is pictured on page 104 of Karsnitz book "Oyster Plates" and appears to be the same mold as the Carstens oyster plate pictured on the same page. This plate is unsigned and is in really excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some light wear to the gold on the rim. The plate has a diameter of 8 1/2" and stands 1 1/4" high at the rim. | |||||||
