SALVADOR TERAN Sterling 3 Piece Parure, c. 1950s
This is a fabulous Mexican sterling silver parure consisting of a necklace, bracelet and screwback earrings by Salvador Vaca Teran, c. 1950s. The pieces combine spikes and gears creating a distinctive and unusual design. The necklace measures 15 1/2" long x 7/16" wide and the spike drop is 2 3/4" long x 1 7/8" wide and about 3/4" deep. The bracelet is 8" long and the spike drop 1 1/4" x 1 1/8" x 1/2". The earrings are 1 5/16" long x 3/8" wide. The bracelet is signed lightly - "Salvador" together with the eagle mark, the necklace "Hecho en Mexico, sterling" and the earrings are unmarked (see photos). All pieces are in excellent condition.
